Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam (DPEE) Dates, Syllabus, Format – Explained
Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam (DPEE) dates are now announced, this exam was first proposed by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) in 2018 and the exam is now set to happen on 3rd, 4th and 5th October 2024. The Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam, henceforth referred / abbreviated as DPEE, has been introduced by Pharmacy Council of India henceforth referred / abbreviated as PCI with the following objectives :

Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam (DPEE) Syllabus & Subjects :
As per the PCI announcement A total of 8 subjects are included for the syllabus of Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam. These 8 subjects are :
- Pharmaceutics
- Pharmacology
- Pharmacognosy
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy
- Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence
- Drug Store Management

Format of conducting DPEE Exit Examination :
PCI in the official Gazette have laid out specific details about the format and conduction of the diploma in pharmacy exit exam, 2024.
- Prescribed Authority (NBEMS) shall conduct the DPEE exit examinations as may be decided by the PCI from time-to-time.
- Examination Format : Multiple Choice Questions
- There shall be three papers of multiple choice questions in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence and Drug Store Management.
- The language of the examination shall be English.
- The test for each exit exam paper shall be of three hours’ duration.
- A candidate shall be declared as having passed only, if he obtains a minimum of 50% marks in each paper separately.
- A candidate shall have to pass all the three papers in the same attempt. However, there shall be no restriction on the number of attempts to appear in the examination.
- A certificate of eligibility for enrollment and practice shall be issued to the successful candidate which will be presented before the State Pharmacy Council for registration as a pharmacist.

Sir my question is I have took admission in 2021-2023 academic year but our pass out is in Jan 2024 is this exam applicable for us.
You may want to confirm this with your College Administration and your State Pharmacy Council. Those who took admission in 2022 have to appear, For the 2021 enrollment, I would not want to speculate.
Sir my admission is December 2021 and my classes started in January 2022 and final exam held in January 2024 so is this applicable for me
Only, your College administration can confirm this. Either they let you register with your State Pharmacy Council or they ask you to give this DPEE Exit Exam.

Agr PCI or DPEE ko exit exam krana h toh thoda discipline ya sahi tareeke se kraye exit exam ko kiya mjak bna diya hai ek diploma jaise course ko itna bhayanak bna rhe hai.. exit exam lena hai besak lo but atleast tareeke se toh lo
Ye kiya matlab 3 days ka , application form fee 5900 like first time kisi exam Mai GST lga hai wow 😊 itna fee toh MBBS or master’s degree m nhi hai jitna inhone diploma jaise normal course ke liye rkha hai

Yes, 3 days exam, for 3 hours and all 11 subjects seems too much for a basic D. Pharmacy course. Hope the PCI reviews its decision and unburden the students of this ill devised exam pattern.
